I often ask my patients about their diet and if they are eating nutritionally rich greens. I am no chef, but the disscussion usually ends with me sharing some of the recipes I use at home. Greens are easy to add to any meal and even better, you can make a filling meal entirely from greens.

Eye Health Recipe 1 : Add Spinach
1. Whatever you were already making
Directions: Whatever you are having for the tea just add spinach a minute or two before serving!
If you’re making a stew or pasta sauce, throw in a couple of handfuls of spinach right at the end. It does not affect the taste but you will get the nutritional benefit that will help protect your eyes from macular degeneration and cataracts.
Similarly, if you are making fish and chips throw a handful of spinach under the fish and serve.
As well as adding colour, spinach is great source of Lutein and Zeaxanthin and does not change the flavor of your weeknight staples.
So easy and so good for you!
